Publication:

Stockholm: Askild & Kärnekull Forlag AB, 1973

Collation:

Crown octavo [21.6 cm. (8½ in.) x 14.6 cm. (5¾ in.)]. Pp. 264; (1) half-title; (2) frontispiece; (3) title page; (4) dedication followed by publication data; (5)-(6) Innehåll; 7-9 Inledning by Sam J. Lundwall (verso blank); (11) fly-title; 12-264 text. Pages (11), (29), (53), (79 ), (103), (131), (157 ), (187), (213), and (237) are fly-titles. Pages (10), (28), and (212) are blank.

Pagination is unusual. The entire work is paginated as 1 through 264, at the bottom of each page, and these are the pages numbers used in the collation. On the contents page, though, each of the ten books is paginated separately, beginning with a new page 1 at each book's first page. These page numbers are carried at the tops of the pages.

Binding:

Pale grey cloth, gilt lettering on spine, covers blank. Spine: CABELL | SILVERHINGSTEN | [double rule] | [at base of spine] AOK (see image above).

Frontispiece:

A reproduction of the frontispiece of the frontispiece of the first illustrated printing, SS-D1 (P), with the subscript translated into Swedish: de härskare Poictesme hade | på Dom Manuels tid (see image above).

Dedication:

[in italic] Till Carl Van Doren [located on the verso of the title page] (see image above).

Endpapers:

A reproduction of the Map of Poictesme by Frank C. Pápe (Hall G2). Although this version is in monochrome, the base map was taken from the red and black 1928 version used as the endpapers for the first illustrated printing, SS-D1 (P), not the 1926 monochrome version used as endpapers for the signed, limited first printing, SS-A1a. This can be shown by the corrected spellings of "Aradol" and "St. Aunes." The map has been modified, though, with several English words translated into Swedish (see image above).
