At left, a copy of the order form and invoice for a copy of Notes on Jurgen, to the Phoenix Book Shop from a Mr. Thomas Hamilton, Luray High School, Luray, Virginia. Sometime later, Mr. Hamilton apparently wrote to James Cover, requesting him to autograph his copy. At left is the reply he received from Mrs. A.S. Cover, James Cover's mother, enclosing a copy of the author's obituary. This rather poignant exchange was found in a copy of Notes on Jurgen by long-time Silver Stallion contributor Jeff Katz.
