Notes:

This was the first detailed bibliography of Mr. Cabell, following Merle Johnson's brief check-list (F1, 1921). Guy Holt was Mr. Cabell's editor at McBride, and had worked closely with him on every one of his publications since 1915. As such, he had access to publication information on the McBride titles, which lends a measure of credence to his statements of numbers published, etc. We have shown, however, that even so, he was not always infallible.
